The Research and Academic Centre «Kuzbass-Donbass» expands co-operation with China
A new representative office of the Centre «Kuzbass – Donbass» was opened in Xinjiang Province (People's Republic of China) on the basis of Xinjiang Hello Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd.
The opening ceremony was held in the online conference mode. Irina Ganieva, Director of ANO RAC «Kuzbass» told Chinese colleagues about current and planned scientific and technical projects, large complex industry events in coal mining, metallurgy and health protection, as well as about the system of technology transfer to the real economy of Kuzbass.
It should be noted that this is the second representation of the Centre «Kuzbass-Donbass» in China. Earlier a similar agreement was concluded with the international technology company «Tommy» (Beijing) in June 2021.
The agreement signed by the parties implies mutual representation of the parties' interests in order to build constructive, mutually beneficial relations of the Centre «Kuzbass-Donbass» participants with Chinese partners in the field of education, science and innovative technologies.
In particular, it provides for:
participation of organizations in educational, scientific, scientific and technical projects taking into account the areas of activity of both parties;
joint holding of seminars, conferences, symposiums and other educational and scientific events;
exchange of information, training, methodological and scientific materials on the subjects of international scientific, technical and educational programmes;
development of joint educational programmes for training and academic exchange of scientific and pedagogical staff, etc.
The event was attended by representatives of the organisations participating in the Сentre, including those from the new historical regions of the Russian Federation Luhansk People's Republic and Donetsk People's Republic. During the online meeting with Chinese colleagues, the prospects for cooperation of specific organisations and strengthening business ties were also discussed.
For example, KuzSTU is already implementing with China joint bachelor's degree programmes (3+1 and 2+2) in a number of topical areas: «Metalworking machines and complexes», «Inorganic chemistry», «Mechanical engineering technology», «Mining machines», «Industrial electronics», «Engineering environmental protection». At the moment 197 students are studying in the programme areas.
In addition, there are also joint postgraduate programmes.
