REC "Kuzbass" launches a competition to find youth incentives to improve the environment in Kuzbass

The ANO "Scientific and Educational Centre "KuZbass" with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of KuZbass, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of KuZbass, universities of the region, as well as the association of specialists in the field of environmental protection "ECOprofessional" (Moscow) announces the beginning of accepting works for participation in the international competition of environmental projects and initiatives of young people.

The organisers invite students, including international students, to develop ideas to improve the environment in an industrial region.

To participate in the competition you need to fill out a registration form and upload your project on the website of the KUZbass Science and Education Centre. Both individual authors and teams of young people may participate in developing their ideas. The deadline for project submission on the site - until May 16 inclusive.

LinkA panel of experts will select the winners in five categories:

- Best eco-marketing project;

- Best Eco-Engineering Solution;

- Best eco-innovation in university infrastructure;

- Best eco-initiative for the conservation of natural biodiversity in the Kemerovo region;

- Best eco-volunteer initiative for eco-education of the Kemerovo region population.

There will also be some incentive prizes for the participants. The experts will sum up the results in two months, in early June. The competition will be completed on the World Environment Day - Environmentalist Day in Russia, which is celebrated on June 5.

The best youth environmental projects will be assessed, among other things, in terms of their realisation and implementation within the project of the KuZbass Nature Centre, its participants and industrial partners in the environmental field.
