Scientists from organizations participating in the Research and Academic Centre «Kuzbass – Donbass» developed an artificial intelligence sarcopenia diagnostic system
KemSU researchers in collaboration with specialists of the Research Institute for Complex Cardiovascular Problems developed an AI-based system for diagnosis of sarcopenia – a loss of skeletal muscle and function. Previously, diagnosis of this condition required computed tomography, after which a doctor manually analyzed the images by measuring the area of muscle tissue and calculating the corresponding index. This process took about 15 minutes.
The project is realized as part of the grant contest «Start-1» of the Innovation Promotion Fund that have been organized within the national program «Digital economy of the Russian Federation».
