From July 3 to 6, Kemerovo hosts the XII International Russian-Kazakh symposium "Coal Chemistry and Ecology of Kuzbass", during which leading scientists from Russia and other countries discuss the prospects of coal and its deep processing for various industries, as well as modern technologies that reduce the burden on the environment in the process of coal mining.

As part of the opening of the symposium, Irina Ganieva, Director of ANO Scientific and Educational Center "Kuzbass", Doctor of Economics, made a welcoming speech to the conference participants, and also made a report, during which she presented the experience of implementing a comprehensive scientific and technical program of a full innovation cycle "Clean Coal - Green Kuzbass".

On July 5, within the framework of the XII International Russian-Kazakh symposium "Carbon Chemistry and Ecology of Kuzbass", a plenary session was held with the participation of members of the International Committee of the Global Energy Association, during which they discussed climate change, global environmental problems, contradictory approaches to the development of global energy in the 21st century, and the development of the carbon industry.

Anton Pyatovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Kuzbass Government (Education, Science and Youth Policy) and Sergey Brilev, President of the Global Energy Association, addressed the symposium participants with welcoming words.
