Educational Seminar "Regional Brands of Russia - New Growth Points"

The seminar is supported by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth Policy of Kuzbass. At the seminar the specialists of Rospatent and FIPS will tell the representatives of the regional business community and all interested persons about such intellectual property objects as geographical indication (GI) and appellation of origin (AOI) in simple language, including:

- the competitive advantages for businesses that registration of these designations provides;

- the differences between GI and NMPT;

- how to properly apply for registration of GI and NMPT, including in electronic form;

- fees for the registration of GIs and NMPTs, as well as privileges for their payment;

- global experience in the use of GIs and NMPTs and trends in the development of these intellectual property objects in Russia.
The seminar will be of interest to the following persons:

• Producers (ready-to-eat food products and semi-finished products; beverages, including: local mineral water, beer, etc.; tobacco products; soap and detergents; exotic stones, coal, cement, etc.).
• restaurants;
• artisans, folk crafts;
• modern designers.
