KuzSTU opened two youth laboratories: one of Modernization, Development and Re-Engineering of Electronic Devices, and another one for Testing Road-Building Materials.
The Laboratory of Modernization, Development and Re-Engineering of Electronic Devices won a grant from the Government of Kuzbass. The project is supported by The Andrey Melnichenko Foundation and Siberian Generating Company.
Young scientists in both laboratories have already demonstrated first achievements. For example, last summer, participants of the Road Materials Testing Laboratory were directly involved in the construction of the North-West Bypass of the city of Kemerovo. The laboratory's main task is to control the quality of incoming materials, construction processes, and the quality of the final product.
The laboratory is equipped to test all types of materials used in road construction. It also includes an Integrated mobile laboratory, enabling faster testing of road construction materials.
The Laboratory of Modernization, Development and Re-Engineering of Electronic Devices offers new solutions for replacing imported electronics.
The laboratory's modern equipment allows professors, senior students, and master's students to conduct research in the development and reverse engineering of electronic automation devices. The research team consists of staff from the Department of Electrical Drives and Automation and students from the Institute of Energy.
Laboratory staff have already completed several orders from enterprises and received two patents.
